What We Believe

What We Believe

What We Believe

1. We believe in the one true and living God, Who exists in three co-equal and co-eternal persons, by His sovereign will and for His eternal glory. (I Peter 1:2, Hebrews 11:6, II Corinthians 13:14, I John 5:7)

2. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:16–21)

3. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, provided our redemption through His substitutionary atoning death, was raised bodily from the dead by the Father, ascended into heaven, and that one day He will return. (Romans 1:3–4, Matthew 1:20–23, Acts 2:22, Romans 3:24–25, I Corinthians 15:3–4, I Thessalonians 4:16, I Thessalonians 1:7, Acts 1:9–10)

4. We believe that salvation from the penalty of sin is only through the free gift of God’s grace through faith, without any works on our part, and that those who trust in Jesus alone for their salvation have eternal life. (Romans 1:16, Matthew 28:18–20, Romans 10:13–17, Ephesians 2:8–9)

5. We believe that all those who put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation are born again by the Spirit of God and make up the universal Church, which is also called the Body of Christ. (John 3:3, I John 5:1, Ephesians 2:18–19, I Peter 2:5, Ephesians 1:22–23)

6. We believe that all who call upon the name of the Lord for salvation are commanded to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:18–20, II Timothy 2:2, Romans 10:9–13)

7. We believe in the imminent and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ which will begin the final events of history, culminating in the rewards of everlasting life to the saved and the everlasting torments of a literal hell to the lost. (Daniel 12:1–3, II Thessalonians 2:1–9, II Peter 3:10, Revelation 20:11–15)
